The Flavia SB-100 Coffee brewer is one of the best designed machines that I have seen in years for home brewers. This single cup coffee brewer had a great lifespan, surpassing the expectations of many consumers who bought them.
This Flavia single cup brewer machine itself is rather complex. If you still have one that works, treat it like gold. The internal parts are hard to get at, and you’ll need special tools to open the case. Fortunately, these tools are found at any hardware store. To keep it running, it is necessary to clean your brewer every six months. 
The biggest reason we’ve found for needing to have the Flavia SB-100 brewer repaired has been negligence on the part of the owner. The only part that gives great trouble is the air pump, which would blow the remaining coffee out of the single cup pouch. I’ve repaired many of the Flavia SB-100 brewers and they will still work as long as proper care and maintenance are provided. We found that many people would wait that few extra moments before cautiously removing the single cup pouch, even long after we could get parts for these brewers.
If you come across one of these on eBay, craigslist, etc. and have a question, please let me know. I would be glad to help. The Flavia SB-100 brewers have been discontinued for at least four or five years now, and there are no parts. If you already have one and want the project, you can always shop for items you can use for parts.
I must say that this machine was the vehicle for getting Flavia coffee into our homes.
